Castle Forest Lodge

Surrounded by the lush green tropical forest on the slopes of snow-capped Mount Kenya, Castle Forest Lodge is a rare tropical paradise. Your stay will bring back memories of unspoiled splendour, and nature as it was intended to be. Merely a hundred metres from the lodge you will find the crystal clear waters of the twin waterfalls simply hypnotic.

The lodge was built by the British, originally as a retreat for royalty around 1910. In 2000 it has been renovated to accommodate about 40 guests. It is an excellent weekend getaway, just 2 hours' drive from Nairobi.

We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner at set hours with a daily changing menu. Snacks are available throughout the day and so are drinks from our well-stocked bar.

Surrounded by the mystic of the indigenous rain forest the leisure veranda is the ideal place to relax and unwind. Our swimming pool is situated on the border of the rain forest and is often visited by elephants seeking refreshment during the dry seasons. We offer nature walks, horse rides and fishing.
