The Ancient Copper Shed

The Ancient Copper Shed offers comfortable self-catering accommodation that has a view of a game farm and is located just 10 kilometres from Potchefstroom.

Accommodation can be booked in the thatched unit for five guests, Sumer, or the unit for five guests, Egypt. The units are decorated with a theme of treasures from ancient Sumerian and Egyptian history.

The Sumer unit has a bedroom with a king-size bed and an attic room with three three-quarter beds. These rooms share a bathroom that has a shower and a bath. Towels are provided. An outdoor shower with hot water is available in the garden. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a microwave oven, gas stove, fridge, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. Guests can relax in the lounge area in front of the fireplace and there is a veranda that boasts a beautiful view. The unit has a private boma.

The Egypt unit sleeps five guests and has a bedroom with a king-size bed, a loft room with three- three-quarter beds, and a private bathroom with a shower and a bathtub. Towels are provided. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a gas stove, microwave oven, fridge, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. Guests can relax in the lounge which has a fireplace or on the veranda. There is also an outdoor shower with hot water in the garden. The garden's name is the Garden of Eden and is surrounded by edible herbs. The unit has a private boma. Adjacent is also an enclosed space for pets.

Pets are welcome if arranged in advance. Please note note that a dirt road leads to the institution. The dirt road is maintained and is suitable for any sedan vehicle. Wood for the fireplace and boma can be bought on site.
