Houtkapperspoort’s 26 charming, fashionable and superbly appointed self catering cottages are set in spacious, meticulously landscaped grounds, and is perfectly suited to anyone with a passion for nature, fresh air and open spaces.
All our self contained cottages offer tasteful furnishings, TV, DVD players, bed linen and towels, pergola covered veranda, barbecue, daily basic cleaning service, fridge, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Cooking facilities include a four plate electric/gas stove with an electric oven and a microwave. Most have air-conditioning and some have fireplaces.

The One and Two Bedroom self catering cottages have either one or two bathrooms, the Three bedroom self catering cottages have either two or three bathrooms, and all four bedrooms in the Manor House have en-suite bathrooms. The resort accommodation is the highest standard of its type in South Africa - Cape Town, and the tariff offers remarkable value for money.
Facilities include 24-hour security control, tennis court, swimming pool, children's play area, Wi-Fi, DSTV, DVD's for hire, safe, parking bay, laundry service and magnificent mountain paths. Directions
On exiting the airport grounds, follow the Cape Town signs. Drive over the bridge and immediately turn right towards and onto the freeway (N2) which will take you towards Cape Town.

Closer to Cape Town the road will start turning towards Table Mountain. You will drive over a bridge (the M5 make sure you are in the left lane), then underneath two bridges that are close to each other. When you pass underneath the third bridge, the road will split. To the right is Cape Town. You need to turn to the left (M3 Muizenberg/Kirstenbosch turnoff). Now you will be on De Waal Drive which will become Rhodes Drive. The University of Cape Town will be on your right, the Rhodes Memorial a bit further on your right as well. Soon after, go over to the right hand lane. At the first set of traffic lights, turn to you your right (Hout Bay/Kirstenbosch turnoff).

Drive past Kirstenbosch (on your right), and at the T-junction turn right again. Go uphill (there is a pedestrian crossing at the top on the turn – be careful), and then downhill through all the turns past Cecelia Forest (on your right) until you get to the traffic circle at Constantia Nek.

Go round the circle (avoid the first exit), and go downhill towards Hout Bay. Houtkapperspoort is about 200m down the road, the first entrance on your right (follow the wooden fence).

As you enter the premises, please stop at the security gates and they will direct you to the office during office hours, or to your cottage if after office hours.Please note that the speed limit is 10kmh on the property.Children, springbok and other animals have right of way.

Guests are kindly requested to arrive after 14h00 and depart by 10h00
The tariff applies per cottage as from 8,6,5,4 and 2 people (excluding babies under 18 months) depending on the cottage size
Refunds are not given for late arrivals or early departures.
Management reserves the right to re-let bookings not taken by 6:00 p.m. on the booked date unless notice of late arrival is given.

The tariff is inclusive of the entire cottage inventory including towels, all bed linen, furniture, fridge, microwave, stove, TV with DSTV, cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery, glassware and safe but excluding swimming/beach towels.
Phones in each unit are charged for separately at a premium to the Telkom rate.
Cots are available.

TO SECURE THE BOOKING REQUIRE A DEPOSIT OF 50% IS REQUIRED ON CONFIRMATION. HALF OF WHICH IS REFUNDABLE ON CANCELLATION UP TO 42 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL DATE. BALANCE IS PAYABLE 30 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. FOR BOOKINGS MADE LESS THAN 30 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL REQUIRES FULL PAYMENT ON CONFIRMATION.
REFUNDS ARE AT THE DISCRETION OF MANAGEMENT AND SUBJECT TO A 10% ADMINISTRATION FEE.
