Simbavati River Lodge is an intimate and friendly camp built on the banks of the Nhlaralumi River in the heart of the world famous Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. Shaded by age old Jackalberry and Leadwood trees, Simbavati is warm and welcoming, with a generous contemporary design and accommodation for guests in luxury tented rooms or thatched chalets.

Simbavati takes its name from the local Shangaan language, translated as “the place where the lions come down from the stars”. The focus of the lodge is on the excellent big-5 game viewing, breathtaking views, friendly and knowledgeable staff in an environment where guests are made to feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment they arrive.

Location
The Timbavati Private Nature Reserve is a rich wildlife concession that borders on the western side of the Kruger National Park, forming a unique combination of public and private land called "The Greater Kruger Park".

There are no fences between the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve and The Kruger National Park allowing free movement of wildlife between the two Reserves.

Simbavati River Lodge is situated in the northern sector of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, which was previously known as Gomo Gomo.

The Lodge
Simbavati River Lodge is situated in the northern sector of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, and surrounded by 12 000 hectares of wildlife and rich wilderness in which you can experience an authentic and affordable African safari.
The design of this 4-star lodge is contemporary, warm and welcoming. Guest common areas offer a generously proportioned lounge, bar, boma and extensive decks with breathtaking views overlooking the Nhlaralumi river where regular wildlife sightings take place and guests can unwind.
Accommodation consists of eight luxury tents and three chalets; all are privately situated, comfortably furnished and with en-suite facilities.

Our luxurious tented accommodation offers generous bush or water views from your own private viewing deck. Tents are spaced adequately far apart to ensure privacy, and they have all of the amenities to ensure a luxurious and comfortable stay.

Terms and Conditions
PPS = PER PERSON SHARING
Check in time shall be from 14h00 onwards (unless otherwise agreed).
Check-out time shall be before to 11h00.

Includes: All standard meals, accommodation and two game drives per day
Excludes: Drinks, baby-sitting, transfers, gratuities, Timbavati conservation fee of R160.00 per person payable at the lodge. (The conservation fee will increase to R170.00 as of 01 March 2013).
Drinks Supplement - R300.00 per person per night for house wine, local beers & spirits & soft drinks to be included.

4 – 12 years: 50% of per person sharing rate when sharing with parents in family chalets
12 years & older sharing with parents in family chalets; 3rd/4th person rate applicable

NB: Children 6 years & over are allowed on Game Drives. Families with younger children can arrange a private vehicle prior to arrival. Please ask us for our Children at Simbavati Document if you require further information.

Complimentary Scheduled Transfers
We offer complimentary scheduled transfers at set times to coincide with the scheduled flights into and out from Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport. Please note that this is a scheduled transfer and you will be sharing with other guests coming to the lodge. If you are planning to drop a rental car at Hoedspruit Airport, please ensure that you arrive well before the flight arrival time as
unfortunately we cannot wait for late arrivals. The transfer time is approx one hour. Please note the complimentary transfers exclude the vehicle entry fee of R120.00 payable at the gate.

• Scheduled Departure Times from Simbavati – 10:00 (for the 12 departure) & 12:00
If you are arriving at a different time, then we can arrange private transfers from Hoedspruit, Kruger Intl Airport, Phalaborwa Airport or from the Timbavati Gate. Please ask for our Transfers Rate Sheet.

Payment/Cancellation Policy:
A 50% deposit is due on confirmation of the booking and the balance is due 40 days prior to arrival. For bookings made within 40 days of travel, full payment is required on confirmation.
If cancelled up to 31 days prior to arrival, no cancellation fee will be levied
If cancelled 22 to 30 days prior to arrival, a 50% cancellation fee of the full booking value (inclusive meals and VAT) will be charged.
If cancelled 15 – 21 days prior to arrival, a 75% cancellation fee of the full booking value (inclusive meals and VAT) will be charged.
If cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival, a 100% cancellation fee of the full booking value (inclusive meals and VAT) will be charged.
Guaranteed reservations will be held for the first night only, after which the accommodation will be released.
Refunds, if agreed, are subject to a 10% administration fee.
