A delightfully unpretentious yet sophisticated boutique hotel in Cape Town, Welgelegen offers warmth, style and intimacy with it’s Thirteen individually styled en-suite bedrooms. In each and every room, no comfort is spared, from Wi-Fi and aircon to DVD players and hot water bottles as well as the personal touches such as home-made biscuits, fresh fruit and Welgelgen’s own line of “green” toiletries. This is a boutique hotel that thrives at taking the stress and strains out of one’s holiday experience.

A spacious high ceilinged sitting room and a cosy yet rich library adjoin a grand breakfast room, all of which filled are with contemporary furnishings and eclectic African art. In turn, the breakfast room leads to a cobbled court-yard frequented by our resident Hadedahs and houses a plunge pool that one can cool off in after absorbing the southern African sun. Welgelegen is truly a peaceful haven in the heart of town.

The in house therapy room offers treatments from pedicures and manicures to deep tissue massages and flight recover packages, it is definitely something to consider if you have should wish to be pampered.

All in all, this is a professionally run centrally located urban sanctuary that offers a warm tranquility that is difficult to refuse.

Payment and Cancellation policy

Payment is due in full, upon receipt of tax invoice.

Should a cancellation occur from 4 weeks prior to arrival, we reserve the right to charge a 50% cancellation fee.

Cancellations within two weeks of arrival will be charged in full.

Refunds if agreed are subject to a 10% administration fee.

AVAILABILITY AND PRICING DURING MAJOR EVENTS

During major events, conferences or sporting events (periods where demand for accommodation is high), we may not be in position to offer the rates as advertised on this website but we will offer our clients the best available rate possible.

Stephen House: 4 superior air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms.

3 deluxe air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms.

Hofmeyr House: 5 superior air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms.

Children Welcome

Children of 4 yrs to 12 yrs sharing with parents pay R300 per day (including breakfast).

Extra adult (13+) in family room pays R400 per day (including breakfast).

Only rooms 3 + 7 can sleep extra beds, room 3 has 1 extra bed. Room 7 has 2 extra beds. Cots are available in all of our room types.

Extra adult (16+) in family room pays R400 (subject to change without prior notice) per day, including breakfast.
