Situated approximately 120 km from Cape Town, in the heart of the whale route, the seaside town of Hermanus in Walker Bay offers the best land based whale watching in the world.

Olive Tree County House is nestled at the entrance to the Hemel en Aarde Valley wine region, on the old “Glenfruin” Farm, five minutes from the center of town. This self catering/Bed & Breakfast property offers wide open spaces and spectacular mountain views that equates to peaceful getaways for families and friends.
Our spacious accommodation, offering privacy and security, is fully equipped with all modern conveniences, including microwaves, stoves, TV’s, DSTV, and DVD players.

Directions
From Cape Town, take any road signposted to the airport - this will become the N2 highway. Stay on the N2, past the airport, through Somerset West and over Sir Lowry’s Pass. You are now in the Overberg and on the first part of the Garden Route. Stay on the N2 until you arrive at Bot River and the signpost for Hermanus. Turn off and follow the R43.

Shortly after Onrus, but before you enter the town of Hermanus, turn left at the traffic lights onto the R320 with the Hemel-en-Aarde Village on your left. Turn left again with Whale Haven Winery on your right. Turn immediately right and at the end of this short road you will find a set of gates leading into Glen Fruin Estate. Push number 14 on the intercom buzzer. Margaret Snyman will open the gate, turn left and then the next right down a steep hill. At the bottom of the hill turn left (into Olive Tree Lane) and the house is number 14, immediately on your right.

Accommodation
Four beautifully appointed double bedrooms sleeps eight guests with two tasteful bathrooms, both with bath and shower. The lounge area with fireplace, opens onto the swimming pool patio with glorious country views of the mountain and stream.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY
• Full payment is required 40 days prior to arrival
• We have the right to request deposits or full payment in advance in the case of large groups, long stays, peak periods or high occupancy
• Cancellation Charges
• 03 – 01 days prior to arrival, a 65% cancellation fee will be charged
• No shows will be charged 80% of the full value of the accommodation booked
• In the event of a refund, a 10% administration fee will be retained for cancellations received after the card has been charged.

AVAILABILITY AND PRICING DURING MAJOR EVENTS
During major events, periods where demand for accommodation is high, we may not be in position to offer the rates as advertised on this website but we will offer our clients the best available rate possible.
