Aquila Game Reserve is a four star establishment and boasts all the features associated with an exceptional safari lodge. The reserve is 7500 hectare conservancy in the southern Karoo, and home to the big 5 legends of the wilderness. Elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino, synonymous with Africa, roam the outskirts.

Aquila Game Reserve offers traditional game drives, safaris on horseback, quad biking, 4 x 4 mountain trails, visits to ancient rock art sites, golf and cherry picking in the valley.

Location
Aquila is the closest private Game Reserve to Cape Town, a mere 90 minutes from the City Centre on the N1 National Road. Aquila is named after the rare & endangered Black Eagle that thrives in the area

Aquila is situated on the national flower route and has several hectare of mountain Protea. The land can be divided into three separate biomes - Fynbos, Renosterveldt and succulent Karoo .

From July through September the Reserve displays a splendid Technicolor carpet of Karoo flowers.

- Rates are quoted per person per night (sharing)
- Rates are quoted in ZAR and include VAT
- All children are welcome, under 4yrs no charge, 4-11yrs at half price and 12+ at full adult rate. All children on horse safari at full rate
- Private safaris can be arranged

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
- Full payment is required 30 days prior to arrival (subject to peak period dates)
- Cancellations made within 24hrs of date of arrival, 100% of daytrip payable
- Cancellations made within 30 days of date of arrival, 50% of full accommodation payable
- Cancellations made within 7 days of date of arrival, 100% of full accommodation payable

Day combo safari (daily from 08h30) includes welcome drink, breakfast, 2-3hr game drive, lunch and 1.5hr horse back safari

Standard overnight safari in luxury accommodation (daily from 14h00) includes welcome drink, dinner, bed, breakfast and lunch. 2 game drives. (bushman paintings)

Standard overnight safari in premier accommodation (daily from 14h00) includes welcome drink, dinner, bed, breakfast and lunch. 2 game drives. (bushman paintings), all local malts and house wine. Game drive may be replaced by horse safari.
